...To bad it had to come to this. Exhibition is over. I can't believe it! All that worry and stress, and it's... Over. 'But Kaylynn, surely you're glad to be free of all that stress and work. I mean, it's just a school project, after all...' You are most likely saying. And it's true, you're right. It was stressful, but there were fun moments to. Frantically spattering paint in the rain, laughing. Squelching a smile as Tyree's little brother stole his cookie and cried when he had to give it back (he didn't give it back in the end, though). Question of the day:What is your action plan and how will you make it happen? Answer: I'm having a free draw for a dog collar, and soon I'm going to find the winner. My piece of advice for the younger class: Don't worry, enjoy the moment. Bonus advice: Memorize the information, not the words. So, in the words of Douglas Adams, (and fish has nothing to do with it, that's just part of the quote) "So long and thanks for all the fish..."

5/12/2017 0 Comments Getting Ready...We've gathered our information, and now we're polishing it up and getting ready to present. We still need to refine our information, make it catchy, and add the finishing touches. I have realize that a lot of these problems are quite old, which was surprisingly... surprising. I have asked a large amount of questions, such as; How long have these problems been around? Are they getting better? What are our interview questions who are we interviewing? When is our interviewing scheduled? Why is this important to me? I've been caring because I've offered to help others with their work and surveys, and a thinker 'cause I'm choosing which information to have on the board. I've used communication skills, elimination skills, thinking skills and understanding skills. I've been opened-minded, as I understood that my group mates have different ideas. I've been respectful in much the same way, as well as respecting non-group mates. I'm a little worried about Tyree and Wyatt getting their work done, which reflects badly on my grade. Other than that, things are going quite well. Singing off...
5/3/2017 0 Comments Getting In The GrooveSo far, so good! I've been researching like crazy, and I have so much information. It's at the point where it's almost overwhelming, but I simply think 'it's just a school project' and that keeps it realistic. Perhaps it's a pessimistic view, but it does help! Anyhow, I really think I'm doing well, and I hope I make a difference. I need to get in contact with an interviewee, and I have several possible options. This is nerve-wracking, thinking about interviewing a professional. I also need to start polishing my work. I'm still in the raw information gathering, but getting closer to polishing. I feel as though school is finally getting it's students to focus on just one subject: Exhibition. And of course, math and guitar! I have made a lot of really sad discoveries (it is, after all, a really depressing topic) but a few positive ones to. I've certainly had a lot of questions! I have recently written my Key Concept questions, and they have seriously helped. I demonstrated the attitudes of principled and communicator because I told my group mates what I thought we should to and didn't get distracted when they posted pictures of pigs.
4/27/2017 0 Comments We're OFF!So, Exhibition has begun! The launch was a while ago, so we have begun researching like crazy. I am fairly happy with my group, we seem to get along well. The questions of the day are: What attributes have you demonstrated? Answer: Confidence, Co-operation and Creativity. How? Answer: I've explored many websites, all of which have given me information. I have come up with Key Concepts, and let others come up with them. What attitudes have you demonstrated? Answer: Open-minded and Communicator. How? Answer: I offered no resistance to the idea of including farm animals. I also expressed my ideas and tried to explained why I wanted that. What is my Line Of Inquiry? Answer: Animal Control facilities are trying to help, but are having trouble.
4/12/2017 0 Comments Launch!EXHIBITION!! Wow! exited but really nervous, too. Hope #1: People will understand the predicament.
Hope #2: I will get a good grade on this project. Hope #3: That my group will be as interested in this as me! Fear #1: That people will laugh at me and not understand the problem. Fear #2: That my group mates will be disinterested. Fear #3: I will do poorly. My subject has been important to me because my dog was adopted and I have always been interested in animal welfare |
