3/23/2017 0 Comments Sigh...Well, I think you know why I titled this Sigh... I lost. Of course, the odds were against me, but I still hoped. You know what's interesting? Alyssa, who's non-bias, counted the mistakes, and Micah, who won with Hatchet, actually had the most. The list: Me with 8, Bailee with 10, and Micah with 33. Crazy, right? What irks me off is that means people voted for the more famous book. And Bailee, with Peacock Feathers, could have won to. Now, Question of the Day: Why do certain books go on? My answer: popularity. Hatchet is an OK book, but if people would read mine, they would vote a bit more evenly. I guess no more cliffhangers, although my friends are facing off today. So, goodbye...

3/22/2017 0 Comments FrenemiesQuestion Of The Day: How would you feel if you were/are facing off against your friend? Answer: First, I would openly confront them and make sure the situation does not harm our friendship ("we'll still be friends, right?") and I would still be kind of cutthroat. After, I would come up and again ask too make sure it's OK. After some waiting, I would make sure to be a gracious loser or winner. It is actually likely that I will face off against my friend. Oh, quick side note: I'll be facing against Hatchet. Only the most recognized survival story of all time! And I'll have to face Peacock Feathers as well, so what are the chances of me winning? Pretty low, but that's fine. Of course, it makes for a very nice... Cliffhanger! Mwa ha ha ha ha! So, goodbye...
3/20/2017 0 Comments How I FeelYet another slightly boring post, this is about... Well, feelings. Now, don't get me wrong, feelings are vital to survival, but still, two blog posts in one day! As you can probably guess, these are mandatory, with the main questions already decided. So, how do I feel? Well, to be honest, extremely nervous; not just for me, but for my friends and favorite books. This has been exiting and fun, and I will be sad to leave you with the final cliffhanger... What happens next?... Oh, no more of this, on to the important parts: more feelings! I am happy and stimulated, which is good for young minds (read: me). Time to go! Now, who will I be facing off for the Elite Eight? I sure do love these cliffhangers...
As you can probably guess, today's entry will be a little boring. First off, no answer to the major cliffhanger, although the debate for the 3rd person is happening today. Alright, let's learn about Willow, the protagonist in my book. Visual Appearances: Tan, a little short, with dark, curly and unruly hair. Which does not mix with her Personality: Organized and neat, shy, with a cartload of bravery. Actually, the bravery comes after, when she realizes her parents are dead. Whoa, didn't see that MAJOR PLOT TWIST THAT'S IN THE BEGINNING, did you? Nope? Well, that is the entire point of the story, so you must surely be wondering how good this book is. Need I tell you? It's amazing! Now, comparing characters: Brian, from Hatchet. He may become brave, but not in a spiritual way. As well, the events in the story are unrelatable and unlikely, making it hard to relate to. Willow's story, however, is very relateable and possible. So, this is me, signing off...
3/16/2017 0 Comments HOLY NARWHALS! Aaaaaaagh! Oh. My. Narwhals. It was a TIE! A TIE! can you believe that? I can't! And after all the worrying last night... I don't know whether it would have been better if I had lost! Oh, and did I mention that there hasn't been a tie in the history of the Tournament Of Books? No? Well, there hasn't! Nobody can believe it, and I don't blame them. Now, you must be wondering how we will fix this. Well, the answer is simple: a three-way debate. Now i have to beat TWO people! Well... another cliffhanger...
3/15/2017 0 Comments EEEEEEEEEEK!So, Question Of The Day: How Does Presenting\Debating Help Us In Our Academic And Personal Lives? Answer: Presenting prepares us for being successful businessmen or businesswomen, which is very important. Now, you're probably wondering why I called this post EEEEEEEEEEK! The truth: I'm presenting! Picture me, if you will, standing in a school hallway, eyes popping, mouth wide, hands on cheeks. This is how I feel. OK, OK, I worked really hard and hope I will win, but that's not what this is about. This is about honor! (Actually, It's about books, but that doesn't matter.) Super nervous. Hope I win. I'll leave you with this major cliffhanger...
3/14/2017 0 Comments Tension...So far, so good: the winners have been Wildwood, Peacock Feathers and Blubber. Tension and nervousness run rampant, as the second round begins. Peacock Feathers vs. Wings Of Fire;Book 7:Winter Turning has been put off for two days, but the winner is going to go up against me! I am soooooooooooooooooooo nervous! I feel like something good has come out of this blog, however. I think it is good to record who has won and who might win. My debate might be a little boring, but I will make it much more interesting. I WANT to win! I hope you enjoyed my post. Long live books!
3/10/2017 0 Comments Off We Go!Now, we begin the Tournament! I have not gone, as I have a 'bye', but six debates have already taken place: Blubber vs. The False Prince, Wildwood vs. Holes, James and the Giant Peach vs. Sahara Special, Looking At The Moon vs. Stargirl, A Mango-Shaped Space vs. Starring Sally J. Freedman As Herself, and A Dog' Purpose vs. Weasel. I am incredibly nervous, and have watched every single match in the hopes of gathering information. The winners, respectively, are Blubber, Wildwood, James And The Giant Peach, Looking At The Moon, A Mango-Shaped Space and A Dog's Purpose. I am doing the book Counting By 7s. I have spent HOURS meticulously writing my entire speech, highlighting quotes and non-important parts. I have spent a lot of time working on this, so I seriously hope I will win.
